Did your secret lover leave a little mark on your neck? Here’s how to hide a hickey.

1. Put ice on it right away. The hickey will diminish in appearance if you use ice on it soon after your make out session.
2. Use a toothbrush. Remember that a hickey is a bruise, and they just take time to disappear, so don’t expect a miracle. Lightly brush the hickey and the area around it with a stiff-bristled toothbrush so you break up the blood clot.
3. Stick a spoon in your freezer for about 10 minutes, remove it, then press to your skin. Repeat the process until it is gone. This is what worked for me personally many times.
4. Find some ginger, the raw plant, and cut of a bit and rub it on the hickey
5. Wear a scarf or turtleneck. No good in the summer but great in winter/fall.

The best way to hide a hickey is to tell your lover to do it somewhere OTHER than the neck. Inside of the thigh, bum or chest not only is easy to hide, but feels real nice!
